Holey Dollar Rum Fun over a Long Lazy Lunch at Sail Port Stephens

There are many things one can do on the lay day at Sail Port Stephens.

If you're adventurous and feel like a change of scenery, there's a day of mischief to be had with the boys from the Lu Le Belle crew, as they step up as tour leaders of a Hunter Valley Wine Adventure.

Or you might choose to stay by the water and get an education on something that is possibly one of your favourite things at a regatta - RUM.

Peppers Anchorage is the spot to be on Thursday the 15th of April for the Long Lazy Lunch and this year's special guest will be taking you on an interesting and tasty journey through the Holey Dollar Rum range.

Olympic yachtsman and world champion windsurfer Stuart Gilbert was the founder of Inner Circle Rum, and his latest project is Holey Dollar Rum for which he is the Master Distiller.

He is dedicated to producing the highest quality rum, and the Holey Dollar range has already been rewarded for his efforts with 3 gold medals and the Trophy for Best Rum, as well as being named 2009 "Worldwide Distiller of the Year" at the 2009 International Wine and Spirit Competition held in London.

'We're really excited about the quality and uniqueness of the Holey Dollar range, and it's going to be a fantastic afternoon of sampling – I think people will be really surprised at how different Rum can taste and what a smooth and sophisticated drink it can be ! '

Master of Ceremonies Ian Cover from the ABC's CoodaBeen Champions will be at Sail Port Stephens for the entire week and will be steering conversation with Tony as the afternoon progresses they put the Long Lunchers through their paces of trying Rum in a few different Holey Dollar'esque ways.

Tickets for the Long Lazy Lunch are on sale now online at www.sailportstephens.com.au - and the ticket price includes a delicious lunch prepared by Peppers executive chef, Robert Oatley Wines, Boags Beers and Holey Dollar Rum samplers.
